The Primary School Chinese program aims to empower our students to have independence of thought in Chinese. We use the MOE Chinese Language syllabus as a starting point to facilitate mastery of the language. Our teachers engage with students, helping them practice what they have learnt, going beyond just memorising phrases. Discussions about current affairs and everyday life topics help them to learn language skills that can be used not just in examination papers but for practical, real life application too.

Our teachers actively support each student, helping to make the language relevant. More importantly, they keep each lesson stimulating and interesting for each and every one of them! Lessons will focus on specific skills and  techniques for different components of the MOE Chinese Language examination, especially for Comprehension, Composition and Oral.

Small classes mean lots of personalised time for each child, an understanding of their individual needs and the flexibility to tailor a session that will benefit everybody. We utilise everything, from stories, the great outdoors, past examination papers, textbooks, newspapers and even their favourite games to make the language fun and accessible. These tools also keep classes fresh and challenging.
